In a career spanning three decades, Melbourne-based Henson has exhibited worldwide, most notably representing Australia at the 1995 Venice Biennale. In this series from 1992-93, figures emerge from darkness, allowing us to explore what we don't see and to remain abstract in a way that 'has the greatest potential to transmit information' (Smee, Art Monthly Australia, July 1996, p.4).
