Banjo with four tintypes on the finger board

Tintypes (4)
Private collection of Mark Osterman
Mark Osterman (Facebook, 28 February 2019) "This came to me during a medicine show. After the performance a woman came up with this sticking out of a brown paper shopping bag. She asked if I bought old instruments. When I pulled it out of the bag and saw the tintypes in the finger board you could have knocked me down with a feather."

"I'd like to think that the four men were a "group" of musicians, one being the owner of the banjo. This banjo predates the tintypes which were probably added a little later. "
