To sketch the human face divine
And draw the life-like portrait fine,
And stamp the features as displayed
In every tint of light and shade -
This is his art, and well he can
Thus represent the youth or mine;
The peerless beauty, aged dame,
Or lovely matron, all the same.
And children's gesture, look or hair
So like that life itself is there,
And babies' pictures, nice and cute,
He always makes these just to suit.
Garfield's pictures all admit first-class,
No artist can his work surpass,
And all who once have seen his views,
Return with friends; none fail to choose.
Garfield's studio is known far and near,
For he's the finest artist here.
His prices never are too dear,
Then get your picture taken there.
