Weeksville Naval Air Station, during WWII

(Kent Thompson, 3 May 2022) Better photos of this air-base and hangar would be at the Museum of the Albemarle (NC) but this is the Weeksville Naval Air Station, during WWII. Weeksville was just outside of Elizabeth City NC, and had one of the largest hangars on the east coast for airships that were used by the Navy and the Coast Guard. There were two hangars, one was steel and the other wood, that one ultimately burned down in the mid 90s, the steel one is still around.
