This was possibly taken at the nearby fishing village of Newhaven, which provided ample subject matter for Hill & Adamson. Their un-published volume on this series has recently been brilliantly re-created by Stevenson. The outdoor setting was ideal for providing sufficient light for the exposure and the brick corner provides a natural setting. The negative has been waxed for printing and is inscribed in ink "122B".
