Peter Elfelt
1901, August
#2452 Devil’s Gorge (Djævlekløften) and the Chapel at Liselund (Djævlekløften og Kapellet på Liselund)

Stereoview, half, cropped
Det Kongelige Bibliotek (The Royal Library)
(Ann Vibeke Knudsen, March 2025)
One can just make out the small chapel by the sea—with the white chimney, which had a flue connected to a fireplace inside the chapel.

Peter Elfelt visited Møn in August 1901 (according to his stereoscopic image catalog). These are some of the last photographs taken of the site before the major landslide at Liselund in 1905.
