On July 14, 1955, the legendary Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupé was presented. With its Italian design, the two-seater invited sporty driving thanks to its 30 hp engine, hydraulic brake system, etc. The car, produced as an export model, already had turn signals instead of winkers, unlike the Volkswagen sedan. At a price of DM 7,500, the Type 14 found 664 buyers in Germany during its launch year.
