Daguerreotype, 1/6 plate (undersized) Collection of Michael G. Jacob Case stamped By Appointment. William E. Kilburn, 234 Regent Street, London. The original painting was a very fine (1820/30s?) miniature of a young woman in a low-cut dress with chiffon sleeves. White paint has been used to light the jewels, the plate tinted overall, though some red 'spiders' now evident, the paint having dried in spots.
