"The fact that Goerke in 1897, just like Stieglitz six years later, attached the greatest importance to the fine reproduction of the photographs he published is clear from his choice of printing establishments. After a brief spell with Blechinger & Leykauf, he changed over to one of the most prestigious companies of the day, namely Meisenbach Riffarth & Co. in Berlin." (Rolf H.
