Jean-Baptiste Sabatier-Blot
1844
Portrait of Daguerre

Daguerreotype
George Eastman Museum
Gift of Eastman Kodak Company: ex-collection Gabriel Cromer

This image was most probably made in the Sabatier-Blot Studio. The square edged table, gray background and bulls eye table cloth were the hallmarks of his studio setup.

This illustration was included in the lecture "The many faces of Daguerre" presented by Matt Isenburg at the Daguerreian Society Symposium (2009).
