Hans Natge was one of the major German film photographers between 1920 - 1945. In his early work he incorporated pictorial aspects while experimenting with various pigment processes. His early film stills for Friedrich Murnau's 'Faust' (1925/26) are highly artistic and show his technical talent in creating the atmosphere of the film. The print offered here is one of the photographer's rare fine pigment prints.
