Provided by the artist - Claudia Kunin This is the only photograph I have of my maternal grandfather. He died in Dachau as World War II came to a close. In a strange coincidence, I inadvertently chose as a backdrop a photograph I had taken in a castle in Wales. As I worked on it, I realized that the wall murals depicted Jews being tortured, and that the writing on the walls was Hebrew. The ghost of my grandpapa is gazing benevolently on my mother bottle feeding me. Babies can perceive things that adults cannot…..
