He logged the Silverton and above us in the Elkhorn mining district. That is the area where the recent (and still burning) Beachie Creek fire threatened us three weeks ago to the 3rd evacuation level where we were in eminent danger. Luckily we were saved by heroic fire crews! I don't have the date handy but I think this was taken 1928.
