Coffee is not only the primary cash crop in Timor-Leste, it is the main income earner after oil and gas. Every year exports of organic certified coffee bring USD8 million in revenue. With 21,500 members, Cooperative Café Timor is the largest employer in the land during the coffee season, helping realise the Government's national priority of promoting rural development.
