The nearby fishing village of Newhaven provided ample subject matter for Hill & Adamson. Their un-published volume on this series has recently been brilliantly re-created by Stevenson. The title "King Fisher" comes from the print in the Finlay album in the SNPG. This print is the same as HA417 (but is a pale warm brown in colour); the negative is in the SNPG.
