This is the Van Alstyne Homestead. A full history is given in Collier's "A History of Old Kinderhook," 1914, photocopy enclosed. Kinderhook is south of Albany.
Shows the house behind its fence, with trees in need of pruning, 2 in protective frames. This has a slip attached with modern pen inscription: "Sunnyside before the porches were added around 1900."
