The nearby fishing village of Newhaven provided ample subject matter for Hill & Adamson. Their un-published volume on this series has recently been brilliantly re-created by Stevenson. This negative was waxed and is inscribed in pencil "Newhaven Street" and "8" and "u.71" and "24". It was used to make a print in the Finlay album in the SNPG.
