Carte de visite The Jeffrey Kraus Collection Actor, playwright, and manager Nathan Salsbury was born in Freeport, Illinois on February 28, 1846 and died December 24, 1902 in Long Branch, New Jersey. In 1875 he organized the musical comedy troupe Salsbury's Troubadours. In 1884, he became co-owner of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show.
