When I showed up at Orange Coast College in 1974 to teach my class, I found dozens of copies of this Ansel Adams Yosemite photograph. John Upton had assigned his students to make photographs of an original print as a photo-copy project. I had the lab tech step outside and hold one up for me. Later, when I showed it to Ansel, he asked: Why did you have to choose one of my most 'post-cardy' photographs?
