In the center of this artful construction is a grieving widow, who's surrounded by pictures of Lincoln, Mary Todd Lincoln, Generals Grant, Sheridan, and Sherman, President Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thumb, and a host of (unidentified) family members, several of whom are Union soldiers; many of the figures have a handwritten number (lacks the "key").
