Sophia Schliemann wearing "Priam's Treasure"

Albumen print, original
Creative Commons - Wikipedia
In 1873 amateur archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann excavated a rich treasure from Troy. He called this "Priam's Treasure" although it is now considered to be from a period a thousand years before the Trojan Wars. Schliemann's wife Sophia modelled the jewelry.
