The subjects is in this image are two suited men, differentiated by the color of their vests. The mustached subject places his left elbow on the back of a chair for support, while his companion stands beside him with his right elbow resting on the chair. The bottom edge of the painted backdrop is visible, confirming that this image comes from an indoor studio. The backdrop features a drawn-back curtain and a classical pedestal supporting a vase of flowers.
