There is a copy at the George Eastman Museum, GEH NEG: 41122, 72:0079:0089 that has the note: "Circa 1780, Professor Charles captured the silhouettes of people and objects on photo-sensitive paper. However he did not have the means to fix the images. See Tissandier's Histoire de la Photographie for a complete account of his experiment."
