The strong lines of the fences and the house on the hilltop dominate the monochrome landscape. Detail is kept to a minimum. This simplicity of form, tone and detail shows the strong influence of Japanese art on Cadby's work. During his early career Cadby concentrated on photographing landscapes and children, latter expanding into adult portraiture.
