Selwyn Printed caption on verso: No. 69974 Forest scene on the North Thompson, 165 miles above Kamloop, B.C. 10 x 8 Sir William Logan was temporary director of the Geological Survey of Canada in 1871 while Selwyn (the new director) was in British Columbia on the survey during which this photograph was taken.
