Posed in profile across two combined studio chairs, he remains at attention, in a rather precarious position, with amazing calm. To the left a bright shaft of sunlight falls onto the carpet, a photographer's posing stand is visible in the background at center, and to the right a dark object, perhaps a case, rests atop one of the photographer's trunks.
