Image of a woman in a corset showing her tiny waist and hoops without a skirt. On the pedestal is inked "MW." On verso: "The morning after I got married I got the Hoops on through a mistake. / Transportation department. 1st. Mich. Eng. & Mechs. Regt. Co. B. Murfreesboro Tennisee [sic] June 10th 1863." Clearly the guys ribbing "MW" about his wedding! Unfortunately, we found 8 "MWs" among the 2894 listed members of the 1st Michigan Engineers.
