Lady Clementina Hawarden
1859 (ca, taken) 1861 (print)
(Untitled) Photographic Study; Study from Life

Albumen print, from wet collodion on glass negative
Victoria and Albert Museum
Museum number: PH.295-1947

Photograph, albumen print. The photographer's daughters and husband stand infront of a building (possibly Togge House) apparently enacting a 'peasant scene' tableau vivant. Clementina in fancy dress (peasant outfit) stands barefoot on a chair holding a winnowing sieve; Lord Hawarden and Florence Elizabeth (also in a peasant outfit and barefoot) stand next to her supporting a sack of straw. A wheelbarrow and various tools are positioned beside them.
