English-born to Egyptian parents. In 2002 she photographed for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune (USA). She documented farmer suicides in India for her series "I'll die for you" (www.illdieforyou.com). In 2015 she self-published In the Shadow of the Pyramids a book on her experiences during the tumultuous changes in Egypt between 2005 and 2014.
