French photographer who under the patronage of Nasir al-Din Shah, who ruled Iran from 1848 to 1896, set up the first official photographic studio in his palace. It is likely that there are significant holdings of his work in the Golestan Palace in Tehran, Iran and we would welcome any further details on this.
