Brothers Charles and Paul Géniaux worked together and in 1893-1894 they had a studio in Rennes, Brittany, France from which they launched a magazine on the literature and photographs of Brittany. Charles covered the literature and Paul the photography of the region concentrating on local life, occupations, festivals, religious processions and celebrations. Some of their photographs are in the collection of the musée de Bretagne, Rennes.
