He arrived in Hawaii from San Francisco and had a varied career. In 1851 advertisement as a Jeweler; 1856, as a Portrait painter; 1866, as a Photographer & Artist; had younger brother (or was?); contemporary of Henry Chase; in April, 1867, business sold to Crabbe/Meek.
