French master of photography at the Saint Cyr Military Academy. Active in Mexico (1875-1910) and In 1876 he was commissioned to photograph the construction of the railway line between Veracruz and Mexico City. Most of his work after that took place in Mexico with his studies on the port of Veracruz in 1880 for the French steamship company ‘La Compagnie Maritime Transatlantique‘. He also prepared a series of commemorative albums ‘Vistas Mexicanas‘ between 1880 to 1895. Considered to be one of Mexico's first commercial photographers.
