Photographic studio at 27 Rue de l'Ecuyer, Brussels. It was opened by Louis Ghémar (1820-1873) in 1855. Photographs were taken by Robert Sévérin and Louis Ghémar used his artistic abilities to retouch and colour them as required. After Sévérin left Léon Auverlaux, half-brother of Louis Ghémar, joined the business. When Louis Ghémar died in 1873 the studio name Ghémar Frères continued until 1894.
