Dominican Father who studied law at Oscott College and theology at Louvain. Moved to Rome in 1881 to work on an edition of St. Thomas Aquinas. In 1906 he was elected as an Associate of the British School at Rome and took a collection of over 2,000 negatives. The negatives and prints were given to the British School along with a hand-written catalogue. Although the original negatives have been lost new negatives have been made from the surviving prints.
