First World War
(1914-1918) - Prisoners of War

This exhibition consists of gelatin silver prints showing prisoners of war in a camp at Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia. All the portraits in this exhibition are from an album compiled by one of the guards at the camp and were taken around 1915. The portraits mainly show soldiers from the French and British colonies. German inscriptions identify the nationalitites or ethnic groups of the sitters.
