[8-0] *[Truman Ward Ingersoll] "Photographer & Publisher"; "Artotype Printers"; "High Grade Original Views Sold Only by Canvassers", "Official Photographer for St. Paul Ice Palace & Carnival Assoc.". 40 East Third St.; 56 E. 6th St.; 27 E. 3rd St. Most views on RMs, some on CMs; B/Ls, ~4,000 usually fine views emphasizing NW region such as Yellowstone Park, Pacific Coast, SF fire, Canada, etc.; "Florida & Southern Views", cactus, plants, etc.; many hunting, fishing, animals; "Genre & Comics"; "Copybirds at Zoo"; "American Picturesque, New Series"; "U.S. Naval and Cuban Views"; "Yellowstone National Park Series". Also major pub. & dist. of fine colored half-tone lithoviews, most using their own negs., domestic & foreign, AK, China, etc. Co. took own views, and pirated or bought others. Offered catalog. Although major pub., much material is rare to scarce; F.L. Baker, who pub. rare views under his own imprint from North Star, OH is said to have been Ingersoll's field manager; active 80-00. Ingersoll View Co. imprint appears to have preceded or overlapped T.W. Ingersoll's own view prod.
