Contemporary Iranian photographer whose work explores the role of women in contemporary society by linking back to the history of photography. In one series, Portraits, she has traditionally clad Iranian women posed against nineteenth century studio backgrounds with links from the material culture of the modern world - for example a radio. In another series, Like Everyday totally veiled women in the chador hold household items such as an iron or a teapot in front of their faces.Preparing biographies
