Other: Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky
|Dates: ||1863 - 1943|
Russian color photography pioneer inventer - he used digichromatography, an astonishing three-color separation system (one glass plate negative, three frames). He traveled widely within Russia from 1905 onwards and took color photographs during the First World War.
There is widely held confusion about the contributions of Prokudin-Gorskii and whether he was actually an inventor or used the techniques that he learnt from Adolf Miethe in Germany.
