Stereographs project Business locations Renton, WA, US [Rec.] *[Ronald Woodrow Gustafson]
"Photographer"; 2307 SE 8th Drive. Started
correspondence course in photography in 1970,
began taking portraits and wedding photographs
in Portsmouth, VA where he grew up; over the
next few years progressed to doing commercial
photography for the local advertising agencies
in Norfolk, VA. Got first stereo camera 1980;
first stereo commercial interests began when he
was doing photographs for a local restaurant's
menu; at the time he thought it would be
creative to hand out ViewMasters with 3-D food
photos instead of regular conventional menus;
the idea got lost in the shuffle. In 1976 he
and his wife Carol Jo opened photography studio
in New York City; specializing in fashions for
the magazines; worked as a freelance assistant
to such photographers as Gosta Petersen and
Kenro Izu, during which time he also had a
number of clients of his own, including VOGUE
and COSMOPOLITAN; mostly interested in producing
quality 3-D Realist Format slides for retail
sale. Specializing in contemporary beauty of
both nature and women. T.K. Treadwell & William C. Darrah (Compiled by), Wolfgang, Sell (Updated by), 11/28/2003, Photographers of the United States of America, (National Stereoscopic Association) |
