He began his career as a Daguerreotypist and received his instruction from Daguerre. In about 1959 he did a series of album print studies of antique arms and armour "Arsenal de Tsarskoé-Sélo".
 
NOTE: Different sources give the date of his death as 1873, 1874, around 1875, and 1893 if anybody has a proven date please let me know.
