He provided the 29 plates for John Milne (F.R.S. Professor of Mining and Geology, Imperial University of Japan) and W.K. Burton's (C.E. Professor of Sanitary Engineering, Imperial University of Japan) book "The Great Earthquake of Japan, 1891" (Lane, Crawford & Co, Yokohama, 1st Edition, ca 1892). This book is a scientific study of the earthquake which struck the Gifu/Aichi area of Japan at around 6:30 in the morning of October 28, 1891.Preparing biographies
