Born in North Dakota, U.S.A. and raised on a farm. Education University of North Dakota on a scholarship for track, studied Physical Education and graduated with a B.A. degree. Brooks Institute of Photography graduating with honors, majoring in Commercial/Portraiture, taking classes in the Masters Program and receiving a B.P.A. Degree. Work Experience Commercial / Advertising Photographer in Detroit, Michigan for Ford, GM Motors Co. Motown Record Corp. United Airlines, Corning Glass wear etc. Architectural Photography working with International Companies and traveling around the work shooting various High Rises, Skyscrapers, Homes and Shopping Centers. Photographic Educator at Brooks Institute of Photography for 26 years, teaching students in work study, elective areas but concentrating on pre-modern photographic processes and modern creative photographic processes. His main emphasis is Platinum, Palladium Printing and Cyanotype, Van Dyke, Gumoil and Kallitype. During his teaching time he has traveled to Korea, Japan and lectured on the Zone system and other various photographic techniques. Presently dividing time between Santa Barbara, California and New Zealand. Participated in numerous group shows e.g., Photo L.A., Paris Photo, Photo San Francisco, Kunst Koeln, Art Rotterdam, “Der Berg” Heidelberger Kunstverein.
