American photographer active in Hong Kong and Canton in the early 1860s.
 
The Oxford Companion to the Photograph (2005, p. 415) has an entry for Milton H. Miller but according to GEH and other sources his middle initial was M.
 
The attribution of photographs can be difficult and uncertainly remains between those definitely by him and those that are possibly by him. Attributions at times can be based on the distinctive flooring materials he used in his studio portraits.

[6] [Milton Miller] Made fine series of views, prob. in 63/64 of "China and Japan" pub. by Anthony, often credited to him. This was his only known activity as photog; the circumstances surrounding his trip and the sponsor of it (if any) unknown.
