In 2012 a suitcase of photographs by Lore Krüger was presented to Felix Hofmann, a curator at the C/O Berlin. The 250 photographs included showed a varietry of subjects from portraits of gypsies, photograms, still lifes and street scenes - fragments of a wandering life. Being German and Jewish in the 1930s necessitated movement and she went to England when she was 19 to work as a nanny before returning to Germany. Leaving again for Spain where she improved her technique with Zerkowitz in Barcelona before moving on to Paris where she worked with Florence Henri. Some of her photographs reflect the aesthetic that Florence Henri had learned at the Bauhaus from László Moholy-Nagy.
