Stereographs project Business locations Manchester, NH, US [7-8] [J.T. Langley, presumed to be Jeremiah
Thoroughbridge Langley, originally active in
Manchester in late 60s/early 70s as
bookseller/stationer & sometime alderman, but
this not verified] "Phr."; 864 Elm Street; views
rare [3], on tan/white RMs, 1 of Ft.
Ticonderoga, NY, 1 of Robbers Cave, NH, 1 of a
Manchester mill. Work seen is remarkably crisp
with exceptional depth of field, and all 3 views
seen are startlingly similar in composition,
each showing a scene framed by a dark border:
cave mouth, fort ruins, and factory gate. T.K. Treadwell & William C. Darrah (Compiled by), Wolfgang, Sell (Updated by), 11/28/2003, Photographers of the United States of America, (National Stereoscopic Association) |
