Subscriptions Joy Christiansen, originally from Ohio, is currently residing in San Antonio, Texas. She received an M.F.A. degree from Texas Woman's University and a B.F.A. from Miami University. She currently serves as the Lennox Visiting Young Artist at Trinity University, where she teaches both traditional and digital photography as well as 2-D design and composition.
Christiansen is an active exhibiting photographer and installation artist. Her recent work has culminated into an exhibition entitled Family Gathering, which is currently traveling to different venues around Texas. Upcoming exhibitions include The Women's Museum: An Institute for the Future and PDNB Gallery in Dallas, TX. Her artwork has recently been highlighted in exposure, a photographic journal published by the Society for Photographic Education.
