A surgeon attached to the 67th Regiment and served in China from at least September 1859 to July 1865. There are a number of surviving photographs of regimental groups taking in Tientsin in China in 1861 when he was there. It is possible that he took these photographs but it is not certain and remains to be proved.Preparing biographies
