Other: Jean Geiser
Other: Julie Geiser
Researchers need to take special care with the name J. Geiser which is found on CDVs from Algeria as it may refer to multiple members of the Geiser family who were involved in photography in the nineteenth century. Possible confusion is brought about by Julie, James and Jean Geiser and further research is required to clarify who took the photographs at each period.
After the Alary-Geiser association ended in 1867 there were also CDVs signed "Geiser frères" (Geiser brothers) dated to 1867-1868. There are also cards for James Geiser's widow after 1872, with Alphonse as gerant.
Further information is required to create an accurate and complete chronology for this important family.
