southern CA worker. Views common, most of San
Diego and vicinity, city/rural scy., genre,
homes, Indians, #'s to 200s, most made between
73 and late 80s; claimed he had largest
collection of views in southern CA; catalog
exists. First opened gallery in Pekin, IL,
early 60s, operated it for 10 years; to San
Francisco in 72, went to Stockton to work in
J.P. Spooner's gallery; to San Diego in 73,
opened gallery of Parker & Parker on 6th St.
with his brother Francis A. Parker; about 79
bought out his brother's interest; in 84 moved
to 740 5th St. and about the same time took his
son into the business which became Parker & Son;
this lasted only a brief time before reverting
